That swarm of angry bees we hear? That’s the sound of anticipation and excitement coming to sting your heart with World Cup fever!
And if you can’t get enough of it during the game and want to keep your World Cup stoke going between game times, a nice gift was passed on to us that we had to share with you.
We will happily receive these as gifts or partial payment for future projects.
Thank you South Africa for sharing this with the world.
Location-based social media isn’t a new concept, but Twitter Places could very well be the game changer that gets this idea flying. Imagine being at a sporting event and being able to search through a live stream of updates that is happening right there – or you’re at the mall and able to tap into what people are saying about a current sale.
One would imagine that some companies could effectively make use of this new technology to market their brand in new ways – perhaps advertising a special promotion that is only available to those who have tapped into the new ‘Twitter Places’ network.
We wouldn’t recommend using it everywhere, especially ininsecure locations or sooften that you open yourself up to stalking. But what we do know is that this will open up a world of new possibilities – wherever we are, from a subway to a ball game, concert to conference – will exist the ability to tap into an underlying conversation that is taking place. And that is a very cool thing.
Have a look at the Twitter Blog.

Toronto, ON – Just finished a fantastic project with Ryan McNeill and the redesign of Hoops Addict.
So whether you’re into basketball or good looks, check it out!
HOOPSADDICT.com is an online magazine that addresses the professional basketball scene and all of the amateur ranks that make up the basketball landscape. Since its creation in 2006, the publication has evolved from an independent blog to the credentialed media outlet it is today. In the online basketball community, Hoops Addict is one of a select few fan-inspired sites that looks to marry the die-hard fan’s passion with the objective journalistic conventions necessary for legitimate access to the game at its various levels.
Known predominantly for its mock drafts leading up to the annual NBA Draft, Hoops Addict hosts a number of features and either weekly or biweekly columns from writers all across Canada and the United States. Other features that have drawn the attention of sports fans include Editor Ryan McNeill’s weekly NBA Podcast; regular interviews with both NBA and NCAA players, sports personalities and authors; and finally an archive of audio scrums that allow readers the opportunity to listen in on the reporter-player discourse before and after events.
The brain child of Editor Ryan McNeill, Hoops Addict made it’s first real splash in November of 2006 when a one-time printed magazine was distributed at the 2006-07 Toronto Raptors season opener at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Currently the staff includes McNeill, and notable contributors Trevor Smith, Rashad Mobley and Aaron Torres.
